Delhi Public School Mathura Road is a co-educational day cum boarding school established in year 1949. The foundation stone of the school building was laid back in 1956 by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, former Vice President of India.

Delhi Public School functioned from a few tents pitched on the ground cleared from the onslaught of brambles. School is spread over an area of about 15 acres of lush, green lawns, in the heart of the city. The modern school building today comprises workshops, laboratories, audio-visual lecture rooms, a computer centre, libraries, swimming pools, squash courts, clinic, a book shop, the boarding and school canteen. The school runs under a registered society with eminent educationists, social workers and medical specialists. Mr. V K Shunglu, is the Chairman of DPS Society. Mr. Indrajit Seth is the Chairman of DPS Mathura Road.

DPS offers courses in Humanities, Commerce and Science. It teaches students for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
