Dr. K.M. Munshi founded Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938. It is now an All-India intellectual, cultural, and academic movement devoted to the twin goals of interpreting our nation's timeless message and fusing our vibrant, diverse culture with the ever-evolving demands of the modern world. In the more than 70 years after it opened, the Bhavan has gained recognition as both a symbol of India's illustrious history and a complete national institution with a global perspective that touches and enriches all areas of endeavor.From Kindergarten to post-graduate studies, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan offers research and education in a range of areas, from computers to carnatic music, business management to yoga, and journalism to carnatic music.
The sum total of all our actions is our life, and we should learn to see it from that perspective and learn to appreciate it. This is the reason why we must not waste it, which implies that we should not waste time in practical terms, but use every moment of it. And let me note that relaxation and fun isn't a waste of time. Such aspects are also significant, but in proper proportion. Time's real enemy is laziness and procrastination. Stop them at all costs, and you will learn that your schedules are still ahead of you.
It is our earnest effort to give children under our care a value-based education.
Our goal is not only to make effective engineers, physicians, technicians, businessmen, etc., but also to shape good human beings of great values in order to spouse and propagate the dharma Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram's threefold cherished aspects.
I am hoping for the internalization and universalization of these ideals that sustain life.
