Dr. K.M. Munshi founded Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938. It is now an All-India intellectual, cultural, and academic movement devoted to the twin goals of interpreting our nation's timeless message and fusing our vibrant, diverse culture with the ever-evolving demands of the modern world. In the more than 70 years after it opened, the Bhavan has gained recognition as both a symbol of India's illustrious history and a complete national institution with a global perspective that touches and enriches all areas of endeavor.

From Kindergarten to post-graduate studies, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan offers research and education in a range of areas, from computers to carnatic music, business management to yoga, and journalism to carnatic music.
